Avoiding the Crowds
By Season
Quietest: The low season, from November to February (excluding the Christmas holidays), offers the most peaceful experience. The weather is colder, but you'll find fewer tourists and better ticket availability.
Busiest: The peak season runs from June to August. The weather is beautiful, but the city is crowded, and Parliament tickets can sell out weeks or even months in advance. The shoulder seasons (April-May and September-October) offer a good balance of pleasant weather and manageable crowds.
By Day and Time
Weekdays are better than weekends. To avoid the largest crowds, schedule your visit for a weekday morning. The first tours of the day are often the quietest. Afternoons, especially on weekends, tend to be the busiest times as tour groups and independent travelers converge.
